Held at COEX in Seoul, COSMOBEAUTY is one of the flagship K-Beauty trade fairs, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors from all over the world. It is more than a trade show — it’s where science, creativity, and business meet.For me, as a PhD biologist and K-Beauty consultant, this was not just an event — it was a living laboratory where I could explore the latest ingredient innovations, device technologies, and wellness integrations that shape the future of skincare.

Collagen Drinks & Supplements 💧

Collagen supplementation continues to rise.
Clinical trials show hydrolyzed collagen peptides improve hydration, elasticity, and skin density.
A 2021 meta-analysis confirmed consistent benefits. While not a magic bullet, collagen peptides are safe and potentially beneficial — so why not?

Exosomes 🚀

Korea’s hottest trend. Tiny messengers thought to support cell communication and regeneration. Early-stage science, but the buzz is huge.

• Biome + Neutraceuticals: BIOM introduced beauty sticks with probiotics, enzymes, and nutrients — merging inner and outer health.

• Collagen Drinks: I tried a White Tomato Collagen 12,000 mg shot — antioxidant-rich, formulated for whitening & wrinkle prevention. Pleasant taste, strong science positioning.

• Rookie of the Year Awards: Login Forest with its Sun Serum Mist (Neroli & Patchouli) — playful yet functional SPF.

• Nature & Vegan: Booths recreated forests and gardens 🌿. Vegan certifications are more and more seen now as a must for global expansion.
• Innovative Formats: Grind Vita Cleansing Balm with a unique push-up packaging — simple, but makes cleansing fun.

• OEM/ODM Power: Korean manufacturers showcased their expertise for private-label solutions, underlining why “Made in Korea” remains a global competitive edge.

💆 My Hands-On Experience

I tested the Kerason Care device, marketed as a pain-free solution for acne, pigmentation, and lifting.

Honest feedback: it was not entirely pain-free, and results seemed modest.
Still, it reflects how cosmetics and medical devices are blurring lines in Korea, with more multifunctional tools entering the market.

🧪 Pharma Meets Beauty

Another growing presence: IVD and pharmaceutical companies stepping into cosmetics.  Example: Centellian24, a cosmeceutical brand sold in Korean pharmacies. This shift shows how pharma recognizes beauty as a profitable extension, with credibility borrowed from clinical science.

COSMOBEAUTY SEOUL 2025 shows that K-Beauty is moving into a new era:

• Holistic: bridging skincare with supplements and inner health.

As a scientist and consultant, I walked away inspired: K-Beauty is not just about surface-level trends — it’s about pushing boundaries where biology, wellness, and consumer delight intersect.
